Sr. Android Developer (Java/Kotlin)

Job description

At United Wardrobe we believe we can make secondhand fashion the norm by connecting millions for users on the perfect platform for buying and selling secondhand fashion. To reach perfection, we are continuously building new features and A/B testing to improve current flows and improve our product KPIs;

  • Engagement: time spend per active user

  • Conversion: percentage of active users buying and uploading

  • Probability of selling: percentage of placed products getting sold

  • Retention: the percentage of buyer coming back

  • And many more...

As Android developer at United Wardrobe you’ll join our product team. Together with your teammates - two full stack developers, one iOS developer, a product manager and a designer, you build the perfect network for buying and selling second hand fashion!

About the job

  • You’re responsible for the stability of our Android app. This means crash free rate of > 99,5%. You use tools like Firebase to monitor the stability.

  • You make sure we don’t build up (too much) legacy code: you speak up when you think we should do refactors.

  • Our Android Stack = Kotlin & Java (Gradle, Android studio, Material design…). Furthermore we use technologies like: Git, Docker, Jenkins & GraphQL and are exploring to add React Native.

About you:

  • You have 3-5 years of experience in Android development. As senior Android developer you can work with different code-quality-levels.

What we offer:

  • Freedom: you get the full responsibility of the United Wardrobe Android app with over 200.000 monthly active users.

  • An incredible dynamic learning environment:

    • We prefer to move and learn fast with the risk of breaking things temporarily, rather than safely walking the beaten path.

    • Fast adoption of new technologies: we believe working with the newest technologies can give us a competitive advantage.

  • An annual United Wardrobe Remote work week/holiday

  • Study budget of 1000,- to support your development in your job and on a personal level

  • Competitive salary based on your relevant experience.
